Final Atlantic Grand Prix race of the 2007 season is over and wasn’t that a really nice way to wrap up the series with a cross country race right here in New Jersey.
The 2007 season is finally over and Little Egg Harbor proved to be a great race for everyone.
AGP rider participation continued to grow and a lot of new and unexpected riders showing up like National #3 Pro Motocrosser and Team Yamaha Factory rider Pat Brown. Also in attendance were riders like GNCC’s regulars Wally Palmer and Shawn Jackson as well regional hot shoe motocrossers like James Henshaw and ProPilot’s James Kapitan.
On top of that we had local fast guys like Michael Collins and Brian Smith holding their own on the bike side as well as quad motocrossers Donald Lysinger and Steve Newcomb
AGP regulars Steve Stracka out of Susquehanna PA and Tom Wright out of Tabernacle NJ kept the motocrossers in sight with a 4th and 5th overall respectively.
In the youth Minicycle race Vineland NJ native David Worden put on a great ride by winning the overall and taking the 2007 New Jersey State Championship with him. Running in second was James Turner out of Cederville NJ while third went to Steve Hodgson out of Vincentown NJ who wrapped up his 2007 Youth Atlantic Grand Prix Championship title.
Overall the youth mini cycle race pulled in over 48 riders for the season final.
The youth Quad race had a lot of the same type of action that the minicycle had with Quarryville PA racer and GNCC regular grabbing the early lead on his Hendrick Racing TRX90. Followed in quick pursuit was Parkridge NJ native Matt Cross and in third and only 60seconds off was Philadelphia’s Alim Elijah running a Polaris Predator 90
The youth event also pulled in big numbers with 24 riders leaving the starting line.
Other side notes was that the $1000 Can-Am Surf and Turf Bounty was split by Daniel Pisauro who won 4x4 Open as well as Nicholas Brajuka who won 4x4 Limited both riding Can-Am Outlanders.
On top of that we’d like to thank the Parkertown Fire Company, Great Bay Rescue and Tuckerton Boy Scouts who this event was run as a fund raiser for.
100% of the gate fee proceeds went to these fine organizations that supported the LEH races.
